Question Running Repair from seperate HD ??

I need to run an installation repair on the O/S on one of my system's HDs. Unfortunately, I can't run the repair from this HD since it's not able to boot-up properly.

Q: Can I run the XP Install from another HD on this system ??

If you hook up the HD to the other computer you can, but why don't you just use the OS Cd to run the repair?

The malfuncioning HD and (2) other HDs are already installed on this system.

For some reason, I can't get the XP CD to boot from the CD player on boot up.

It will boot up from the CD Player after the system is up and running (after booting from another HD). I did try a Re-install going this route already, but it would NOT give me the option of which HD to install it on.

Is there a way I can boot from the CD Player and have a choice of which HD I want to do an Install on ???
