Default Ripping/Recording a DVD

Alright guys, I've had a DVD burner for a month or so, but I've never tryed burning/ripping a DVD with it thus far.

Is there any special software that I need to do this? Does windows already have somthing that will do this?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Do you want to make a 1:1 copy of a DVD or do you want to save a DVD movie on your hard drive. If you want to make 1:1 copies, I recommend using DVDxCopy ( www.dvdxcopy.com ). If you want to rip it, use DVD Decrypter ( www.dvddecrypter.com ), then convert it to a video format such as DivX.
