I want to put Windows 7 upgrade over my Vista on my laptop. The only thing I'm worried about is if I need to restore the computer will I be able too. I don't have a Vista Disc, I just have a group of restore discs that came with the laptop. Will I be able to restore it back to Vista if there is a problem?

I only wonder this because when I rebuilt my computer the restore discs that came with my original computer wouldn't work and that was with the same OS and same hdd. The hdd was the only part in the computer that I used in my new computer. So I had to borrow a friends XP disc to get XP on my computer again.

I'm sorry if this topic has been previously discussed.

Thank you for any help I may receive. :)

Those Restore Disks wouldnt work because it wasnt the same mother board and same CPU. Same OS and Hard Drive means nothing. The mobo and CPU mean more to a Restore Disk than a HDD.

They should work. I say should because at this time, it cant be confirmed. No on has the Upgrade Media let alone have had to restore their system from a upgrade from Win7.
