Default Restore

If i have a major problem in my computer and i want to restore the windows with basic programs without reinstalar the windows XP, how i do that? I have to mount a disk image?

Do you have an image to restore from? You can always use the built in restore feature and take it back to a time where everything was fine and had only the programs you wanted installed.

Start Menu -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> System Restore

Then just follow the directions
