Repeated bootmgr missing

I am running Windows Server 2012 r2 (but this happen in my r1 as well). As of late I have had this message on 4 different occasions. What can cause this? Could it be a hardware issue?

Are these 2 physical or virtual?

Physical.
I wonder, could it be caused by having a memory stick plugged in? Maybe it is trying to boot from it?

Possibly, it's worth a shot. Any external storage devices can mess up the booting sequence.
