I am trying to remove NIS2003 from a computer that was installed using Zen imaging. The image contained a trial version of NIS2003 that was active when the image was made. I have tried removing through Add/Remove programs and using the removal tools for both. I have deleted the registry entries and common file folders ( followed the instructions from Symantec site). This usually works for me when unistalling NAV03 so that the subcription date can be reset from the date of purchase of the PC. This has failed for me with NIS2003.
I tried the instructions in the Knowledge base from Symantec for NIS2003, but when I reinstal I keep getting the message that the subscription is about to expire.
I really do not want to have to load this computer from scratch. Any ideas on how to get around this greatly appreciated.
