Default Removable drives (usb, memory card, sd card, compact flash, microdrive, multimedia..)

I have an eMachines w2686 with Windows XP Home Edition SP2, and I can not access my removeable drives. When I open, "Device Manager," "Mass USB Storage Device," has a yellow exclamation point on it. Could this be the problem? Well, if it is, I have already tried to uninstall, then reinstall it, but it still has that exclamation point. AHHH!!!! Can someone help me out? Thanks, in advance, Jeremiah.

When you view its properties, does it give you an error??

When you uninstalled it and reinstalled it, did you restart your computer prior to reinstalling it?

Have you tried to uninstall it then plug in one of your drives?

Any other problems with anything USB?
