ok this is second time i run into that problem.

i try to copy a movie onto my flash drive and the movie file is 4.6 gb.
the flash drive is empty and has 16gb of memory.
i get a pop up that says destination drive is full, insert other disk...

why is that happening?

there was a few times i had to format my other flash drive because it would not update the empty space untill i format.
i delete all files and it shows same free space as before...

Is the flash drive formatted as fat32?
If so that is your problem as 4gb is the largest file size that can be used on fat32.

format the drive to ntsf.

can i format it ntfs?
and if its ntfs will the dvd player support that file system?

Yes you can format to NTFS. If your DVD Player supports it or not is something you have to research. We cant tell you without knowing what type of DVD player it is.

oh well easy way to plug it in and find out.

but how do i format to ntfs? the windows format tool doesnt give that option

Windows does offer it. Open Computer (or My Computer) and have the drive plugged in. There right click on the USB Thumb Drive and select format. There the format screen will pop up and give you options on the file system to use. Since it is USB it will show FAT, FAT32 or NTFS. Just select NTFS and click format.

it only shows fat and fat32 thats why i was asking.
unless its something specific to windows version
