i've recently installed server 2003 however when the computer is off and turned on, i cannot remote to it.
it will not ping with either netbios name or ip through the command line or even with the routers built in ping function.
i need to hook up a monitor and keyboard and restart then initially log in.
after that, restarts, log offs it allows me to remote no problem
all networking services are set to auto
this does not happen on my other server
both are standalone w/ sp2
remote is allowed in both firewall and advanced connections
