remember view

When I enter a folder, for example where mp3's are located, I want to return to the previous folder and but I want to keep the "view" in detail. When I put it in detail and move into the next folder and then return the view is automatically changed to "Big Icons" view...

How do i get windows to remember the view that was selected ??

ok what you do is

Tools>Folder Options>View
SCROLL DOWN until you see

REMEMBER EACH FOLDER'S VIEW SETTINGS
make sure it is CHECKED

click APPLY

and that should do the trick

That should work..if it doesnt once you are inside a folder and like the settings..go back up to folder options like ^^^ then click APPLY TO ALL FOLDERS.

When i went to folders-> options , i saw that it was checked, when I unclicked (Remember folder view) option , I does work now !!!

So on my computer the unchecked box means, remember >>???

is that right >>>

this is one of xp biggest weaknesses. that feature will never work like it is suppose to. it does on the other window's OS though.
