Well I want to Reinstall Windows.
Will this make me loose any of my saved information on my computer like my Mp3's Games's Etc....
If So can some1 give me step by step directions so I cant do this correctly please. Its the first time I do it and I dont want to mess anything up.

Thank You

is your HD partitioned ? if not you should first partioned it into two drives as C and D. you could do that with partition magic 7 so you will not loose your files. then save your files (MP3'sq games etc...) onto the D drive, format C drive and reinstall your windows on it. after this you can back up your information on your C drive.

Hummm Do i really need to go threw all this just to reinstall windows and now loose my stuff.

Hey xxedtegraxx04,

Every non programmer can talk bad about microsoft but try
doing this with Linux and see if it will only take 40mins.

This is quite simple just follow these steps and don't deviate.

1st Insert the Cd-rom and restart the computer
2nd When boot from CD is displayed( hit any key)
3rd Let windows boot from the CD (This seems to scare
alot of people but if you have 512mb or memory or more
you will notice that your Hard drive light never blinks because
IT's NOT MAKING ANY CHANGES TO YOUR COMPUTER)
4th accept the Eula (F8 key)
5th The setup screen will give you the option to hit enter
to setup windows do it.
6th Select R or Repair Windows installation (Warning if
you are using a multiboot computer make sure you select
the right partition.)

Go watch the simpsons and click next to select the default setup
options.

YES, you have a Fresh copy of Windows XP installed and ALL
of your desktop icons, games and programs are right were you
left them.
