Default Reinstalling Windows

Hi, my computer has been running like a snail lately, and I just can't take it. I remember my father reinstalled windows last year, and after, his computer ran like new. I really want to do this, but several things are holding me back.

1. I have over 1400 songs on my computer, both on iTunes and Limewire. A vast majority of my songs are downloaded from limewire, and torrents. If I lose the songs from limewire, and lose the folders from the torrents I downloaded, I wont be able to play certain songs

2.I bought a new soundcard and video card this year, will I have to re-install them?

Okay, is there anyway I can keep my music from being 100% deleted? Please help. Thanks

Consider just re-installing the service pack instead and then check to make sure you dont have too many programs starting up at boot time.

If you are running windows XP you can download the latest service pack at :

Also look into installing something like microsofts windows defender and run a full system scan.

What does re-installing the service pack do?
