My friend recently bought an IBM Thinkpad "a21p" laptop off of Ebay. It came preinstalled with Windows 2000, but did not come with any install discs for the OS.
Recently, the computer has been acting sluggish and has already been attacked by a virus, and he has been thinking about reformatting. However, he doesn't want to lose the OS. He said he already contacted Microsoft and IBM/Lenovo about the dics, but was unable to get any.
Is there a way to create a Windows 2000 install CD from the computer? Or is there another way to reinstall it?
