Default registry cleaner

im looking for a registry cleaner or something.
the problem is that ive installed and uninstalled my lan driver/device several times and there are old "local connection" traces in the registry. Also, would it be safe to delete the devices under the "controlsets"
also are there any programs that cleans out windows so its like new? i dont want to do my routine format and reinstall that much anymore, but thats the only viable method of "renewing" my computer.

Can try CClenaer. There is also Registry Repair, GlarySoft Registry Repair, and Registry Mechanic.

I have personally used the first Registry Repair on my XP before and it is good. Found things that CCleaner and Registry Mechanic missed.

I used to use TweakNow, but use CCleaner instead.
