Default Reformat

Recently had to reformat as i killed startup files , however programs that came preinstalled with my dell when i got it are no longer there , e.g intel pro set wireless , is there any way of getting these back , the only disk i got was the OS install disk??

Try see if they are downloadable from dell's website

Usually you get a group of discs, with antivirus, Microsoft Word Trial etc.

Yes you do , as i said though you don't

Also does anyone know a sound driver as that has been removed and i don't remember what it called :P

Go to the Dell website and search for you computer by type. Like mine is a Dimension 8400. Put that in and you will see a long list of things that can be downlaoded for it. From drivers to BIOS updates to printer stuff. It is all available there.

Download a program called ASTRA32. It is a hardware diagnostic tool that will tell you the exact make and model of any device in your computer so you can find the driver. I still maintain that you should be able to get all your drivers off dell's website

I remember it was sigmaTel audio but i can't remember if there was a number
Going to check on Dells website , cheers guys
