REcovering Data??

I have a Acer Aspire 3100 Running Windows XP Home Edition. The computer freezes after the log on screen and will not go any farther. I need to recover the data that is still on the computer and place it on a flash drive?? How can this be done??

You will need to use a LiveCD of Linux or BartPE.

at least of how to do this live cd thing??? i have never done this before so a link to a tutorial or how to would be awesome!!

It is exactly how it sounds. Get a copy of Ubuntu. It is a LiveCD. Just boot from the burned CD and let it run. When you get to the live desktop just access the drive and copy the data from the drive to a CD or USB Flash.
