i prefer avg, I mean its free and its always worked for me. Norton is awesome but things just slipped through it too often even when it was up to date. I havent had a problem yet with avg but to each his own

I used avast and now that alot of virus' slipped right past it I don't like it anymore.

I use AVG and I have had great luck with it. It found things that Norton and McAffee didn't find. That said, you need to update it every day or two if you don't have it set to automatically update. I think that's probably true of any anti-virus program, though, if you want the best performance out of it.
