Default random critical stop ????

so since last night..while working on projects...every few minutes, not evenly timed, i hear the critical stop sound. BUT no popups...no warnings..NOTHING. WTH. the only thing i have running is Kaspersky internet security. but its not showing anything, nor did it ever make that sound before. i cant tell where it coming from.
