Hello all.
I'm running a Server 2000 box with a 150 GB SCSI drive which hosts the office file (word docs, presentations, photos and other documents). This drive is not my boot drive. I have an issue with the server restarting for 'no reason'. All i get in the event viewer is 'an unexpected shutdown occurred'.
I'm suspecting it may be a corrupt file on the E: (the SCSI Drive). I've run Scandisk to scan and repair and nothing has been found.
I can make the BSOD come up if i copy the entire office folder to another computer on the network or another drive on that same server (about 5 GB worth of data). the Word docs are very small and fly across the screen when being copied so i don't get a chance to see what file it gets stuck on.
From other research that i had done, i was told to check the type of disk the SCSI was showing up as (Basic or Dynamic) - it was set as Dynamic, so backed up and deleted the partition and converted back to Basic. Put the data back and still getting the error.
Any suggestions for scanning hdd's or scanning/repairing office docs?
