Rainbow Tables

I guess i should start with i got a new job working for a friend of mine who is a pretty well-knowledgeable computer forensics specialist. he does alot of work for lawyers and such. anyway he is just starting to have a need or at least an interest in some rainbow tables, and today I was wondering how to generate a pretty big rainbow table such as 1-10 characters in length, mixed chars (lower, upper), special chars, etc.. with a couple of computers running it (like how F@H works). im just learning this stuff and so any help would be greatly appreciated.
