Default Quickbooks 2005

Hey Team,

I'm trying to install Quickbooks on a PC that Has a corrupted version on it. I can't remove the version from add remove programs. When i do a reinstall i get this message

"The installation source for this product is not available. Verify that the source exist and that you can access it."

Any ideas?

Sure do


Go to C:\Program Files\Quickbooks 2005 and delete the folder. Then try to install it

I Removed the folder along with any other folders quickbook related. I'm still not having any luck

does it still show up in the add/remove?

download that, ccleaner, run it, then use its add/remove feature

Great minds think alike.... I've alreday tried Ccleaner and Reg Mechanic but it's still giving me the same issue almost like MSI installer is having an issue. The weird thing is the files are on a CD.

so you are trying to install it now? Try copying the contents of the cd to your desktop or program files folder, and running the exe

This is the point of the coversation. I really need to reinstall this It won't allow me to Windows Installer thinks the source isn't present.
