Is there any way to make all folders show the "detailed" view? Whenever i make a new folder, i hate having to right-click, point to view, click details. It gets annoying if you're making a few (20) folders at a time.

Yes.
Open a folder, change everything to your preferred settings. Go to extra>folder options.
On the second tab there's a button to apply the settings to all folders.
