question on cookies and gmail

I signed up for gmail, and when i try to go to the site to log in, I am prompted with an error, saying I need to enable cookies in my browser. I have IE. I went into tools >> internet option >> privacy and lowered the slider to allow cookies, I even used the sites button to allow the google domain. Any other ideas?

u use zone alarm or anything? that may be the problem

Well, when you log in, make sure that you have the "Keep me signed in for 2 weeks" checkbox UNCHECKED. See if that's your problem.

That box has never been check in the first place. So it still does not work.
