Program uninstalling itself

I re-installed STEAM yesterday and since then it's been giving me trouble. I can run and play it fine (well, there's major connection issues but that's not for here) but when I reboot my computer it just uninstalls itself. I don't see it uninstalling, but when I come back my computer can't locate the steam.exe and my steam folder is missing nearly all the files.

Now, when I was uninstalling steam, I did delete some "Steam" registry files but looking in my registry now, I can see those folders are back.

Any help?

Sounds like it is installing in a temp folder which gets emptied upon reboot. Try changing the path that it installs to a different directory than the default.

It's installing to my program files. It just deletes lots of files after a reboot,
