Default Product key sticker

I was wondering if someone were to take the product key for windows xp off of a school or office computer that had never been updated nor had ever been connected to the internet would be genuine if installed on another computer?

i think not cause most schools use windows professional o.O not to sure

some school buy keys and it works for more then one computer
