Default Problems with word and CPU usage at 100%

I am on a different computer now but my friend had a problem on my other one and it has happened again.

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/in...2101245AARwGtx

"hello. recently i was on word and a mesasage came up with something along the lines of i am not working on a works something and to save my work. also said something about memory. i llooked at bottom right and it had a green square and cpu usage was at 100%. i pressed ctrlaltdelete but nothing except system idle processes was taking up any significant memory.

i searched google for cpu usage 100% and found 6 webpages none of any help at all. i have used hijackthis thorughly and also ad-aware and it is updated latest. none of the solutions i found from google helped.

right now i ma typing and leters lag so much i have no time to go back to correct so sory for spelling."

Can anyone help with this problem?
