Problems With Resolution Upon Entering Windows

Recently, I have found a problem with my display once I enter Windows past the password screen. I have set my display at my native solution 1440x900. However, whenever I get into Windows the screen flickers for a second, and changes my resolution to 1024x768. Any ideas to prevent this from happening, never happened to me before on any of my previous computers.

uninstall video drivers and reboot

if that doesnt work, try installing a fresh copy of your video drivers.
