Problems with installation

Hi, I'm new to the forums and I'm looking for any help. I just formatted a computer that I felt needed to be formatted and hoping for a fresh start. Unfortunately when I try to install my copy of Windows XP Home on the machine, it always comes up with an unable to copy the OEMBIOS.BIN file. I've read on other sites that it may be a RAM issue but I've tried swapping my RAM out and still no luck. I'm hoping its possibly bad media but its getting quite late so I'll try that tomorrow. In the meantime, does anybody have any other ideas as to why this one file won't copy? Thanls.

have you tried another disk and checked it for damaged media such as scratches and such. try another cd and if that doesnt work we can begin to look into possible cd drive failure. this occurs quite often.

I would suggest copying the CD to a CD-R and see if the CD-R works. If so, all is well. If not, you have hardware troubles.
