I recently copied a WPD file from a NT 2000 machine, just before I formatted it. Its on my XP machine, but when I go to open it with say Ms Word, nothing appears.
If i open it in Wordpad, alot of unicode look alike type symbols appear. The file is still 9kb. It hasnt been modified for two years, so im hoping this means I have corrupted the file or wiped whats in it.
I tried downloading some converters, yet neither of them worked.
The WPD files were from Corel WordPerfect.
I cant seem to open the files in any thing. The weird thing is, theres other WPD files on the backup that I took from the NT machine, all of them work when using MS Word, yet this file does not. They are all around the same 10kb mark.
Is there any way to recover the contents if ive lost it, or a program that actually works, converting the WPD file to a doc format. Really need your help here as the file in question is greatly needed and cant be lost :S
