Default problem with win2000

I am having a dual bootng system winXP and win2000. XP run just fine and I am having problem while running win2000.

At the begining I use to have svc host error, i sort it out somehow, I borrowed a service pack for 2k and install it. Actually this 2K CD is given copy from my collegue.

the problems i am having:

I cannot download anything from net, even if I do in the end it says it cannot install. This include microsoft service pack as well. Most of the time I cannot even enter the underlined http texts. i mean i can't enter the linked pages

which is making me that I solely rely on XP only which is by name I hate XP.

suggestion will be appreceated
