ok so here's what's going on. i borrowed a game from my friend to try it out and play it online a little and i liked it. so i went out an bought my own copy. i uninstalled his and when i tried to install my copy i get a message saying another version is installed and that i sould go to my add/change program list to get rid of it. i have done this and even used jv16 powertools to fully delete all the reistry keys and anything else and yet i still get this message. is there anything else i can do besides reformating my entire computer?

Depending on the game you might have to go to their website and find out how the files are stored on the PC. they might have some files stored in a separate location other than just in the Program Files area that is still holding this information. Their support site will be the best place to find out an answer.
