Problem With Task Manager And "my Computer" Directory

In task manager whenever I click the processes tab there is just black space under the "User Name" section. And in the "My Computer" directory the "My Documents" and "Shared Documents" folder have both disappeared. I have had the task manager thing happen before so I reinstalled XP PRO but this time I don't want to have to go through that. The "My Computer" directory problem has never happened to me though.

This always seems to happen right after I install the Aston Shell which is a Windows Shell replacement at http://www.astonshell.com
