Hey im currently running windows 7 and i've had this problem for awhile my laptop, when it boots it will get to just before the login screen and then start flashing black and halts there like i said ive had this problem for awhile i used to get around it by booting into safemode and running a system restore it would fix it fine, but now i've encounted another problem same flashing screen but when i boot into safemode and run system restore im greeted with
"No restore points have been created on your computers system drive. To create a system restore point open System Properties"
When I go to my computer>properties I have three tabs instead of the usual four
"Device Manager"
"Remote Settings"
"Advanced System Settings"
My "System Protection" tab is missing
