Problem with Hotmail.

Hello! I have had a problem getting into the hotmail site lately. Nothing has changed, but about two days ago I started getting this error message "Your Web browser options are currently set to disable cookies. To use .NET Passport, you must enable cookies.".

I cleaned out all temp files, cookies etc etc..and even set all IE security and privacy settings OFF and this still didnt work. Anybody else been having this trouble? Any tips or ideas? I looked a Microsoft and they said it was something to with the date and time and I tried that fix, but it didnt work for me. Thanks!

i hade a simmilar problem with Trillian, i coudnt connect because of my date and time. I then found out it was because my month in xp was one back. Changed it and Bigo.

I take it your using IE6 Sp1 or Win Xp Sp2?

Yep! XPSP2. It had been working fine with SP2 for sometime though..just of all sudden.

Yeah had the exact same problem on the school PC

Just searched google for hotmail, and bookmarked the cache'd version of hotmail

this is what you do...

go to internet options, privacy tab, then select accept all cookies. Its not as safe to let all sites give cookies, but hotmail will work!
