I have an external Western Digital HDD 500GB connected to my PC running Windows XP SP3. In the root directory I used to keep several folders important to me, one of them called "Ableton Projects".When I enabled viewing of hidden files and folders i saw that besides my folders there were several others there, one of them called "4aa0dc8b914d5c65220875" which appears to be a hex name. This folder can be renamed but its contents cannot.
So, I accidentaly dragged the "ableton Projects" folder in there. Now i cannot enter the "ableton projects" folder, i get an "access denied" error, I cannot copy it or move it or delete it. However, I can rename it, although I dont think that helps. I need to rescue the folder or its contents. The original hidden folder contained folders "amd64" and "i386" both accessible but protected.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
