Angry problem with 7zip

hello i've just register in hopes of finding a solution to my problem. I have a dvd image that is 4 gigs and currently split up among several 7zip files. IE: 7z.001, 7z.002, etc. Now the problem is that when i open the first one and try to extract the image, it begins decompressing it but when it gets to the end, it informs me that there is not enough free disk space. now i have 2 partitions 1 10 gb that i installed xp on and then 1 50 which is where the archived image is. i set the temp dir in 7 zip to a folder on the 50gb which currently has 34 gb free and it still says there is not enough disk space. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Try being a little more patient. You waited all of 6 hours on a sunday, most people have things to do. try using winrar. I think it can do 7zip files

Have you tried moving the files to the free partition and right clicking the file and choosing extract to folder or extract here.
