i have had to replace my mobo twice, once by a dell tech and once by a friend,
when the dell guy was finished he told me i had to reinstall "everything that was installed on my PC" i asked if there was a way to get around all that reinstalling of the apps? he said "no
When my friend was finished, we started it and everyhting was just like it was before the reinstall.
He took the time to write down every thing in the bios settings, is there a way to print out the bios settings and avoid all that writting? or is there a way to copy and paste?
thanks,
Foo

No, but the BIOS has no control over your installed programs, only how your motherboard is setup. The reason for a re-install is usually due to the motherboard being different.

Hummm, the second motherboard was different, dell no longer made the original.
Thanks Corrosive. you were helpful, how do i give you rep?

Bottom left "star" if you wish.

Just a note, it is wise to back up documents you wish to never loose, in the even of a motherboard or other hardware failure that can render recovering such data difficult.
