Default Preventing Spyware Installation

I seem to have several little bits of spywhere that always get into this obscure, hidden folder in my Firefox directory. Atwola, mediaplex, etc.
Now, I'm really getting tired of going into this directory and cleaning it out, because it recieves this crap from every website I visit.

Is there small fix, because I don't want to install a program, like a registry fix that will prevent files by filename from being downloaded in the first place? I can't fine tune my firewall or add a virus/spyware defination myself. I could very easily create a script to delete this group of files where I just need to execute the batch and BOOM it's gone. I'm curious if there is a manual way to prevent them from existing on my machine in the first place.

Thanks! (Low Priority)
