Preparing to configure windows (stuck)

Had to go bed last night it was taking too long lol. Right, KB2847077 and KB2893983 are the corrupt ones.

When trying to start install and restart my laptop to try which one was the problem I noticed that I couldn't access windows features as they were froze for around 25-30 minutes after restarting (I timed it) So, I left the ''Preparing to configure windows'' for around that time and it worked on one I was trying! Gonna try do it to the remaining 5 now and hopefully it'll have the same result.

As for these things freezing for 30minutes or so what could that be? It never happened until the first time I started getting the problem in the OP.

I'll report back here as soon as I find out if it worked or not.

Could try running these from command prompt as Admin:

sfc /scannow
^^ This will take some time to complete

chkdsk c: /f /r
^^ this will take an hour or longer, depending on how big your HDD is and how full it is

Could try a system restore, then change the windows update settings to only install the updates you select at a time given by you. Then just don't check the updates causing the issues, and you shouldn't have the problem anymore
