Just like the title says, I want to know if I can install just the media player program that comes on Windows Media Center on XP Professional.

Media Center Edition is XP Pro with the Media Center. So all you want to do is get a copy of MCE and your problem and question are answered.

Then you have no way. Try what mikee said or google for XPize. That will be your only other option. There is no way to just install the Media Center part into XP Pro.
