i'm using XP, but the old-school pre-release, no service packs.

It doesnt have zip compression, CD burning, or the security center. I dont need those, they take extra resources

it's not fancy like XP, but it's just as powerful and more stable imo

I loved windows 98SE. Never had any problems with that what-so-ever. Great Sturdy OS.

However, it didn't support everything and well, its old hat now.

So i've been using windows XP pro over the last 3 years. Although the occasional problem, as long as you know what your doing, its a great OS, and probably the best yet.

Although I do intend to try linux one of these days...
