png as recycle bin icons

HI, I try to change a png file as my recycle bin icon, but the windows XP said it contains no icon file and i can use only the ico file...??
So how can i change the recycle bin icon with a png file?

Cant use aImage File as a Icon. You need to convert it. Just as Kurrent gave you. PNG's are just images while ICO files are icons. They are 2 different formats. Not interchangeable without conversion.
