Does safemode work?

Sorry for the late reply....

Haven't tried it "yet". The PC is currently up and running.

The night the PC "was" hung up, we went out to dinner. Came back a couple hours later and it was UP and running. Since this is my wife's work computer, I decided NOT to "try" and do any repairs (for risk of crashing it) at this time.

When the issue does appear, I'm NOT able to access anything except Task Manager. There were NO conflicts in Device Manager prior. Nor am I able to access Safe Mode. And I DID do a Restore Point shortly before this and the issue is still there.

Anyways, I highly anticipate the issue will reappear once the system is RESTARTED again. We'll see how long my wife want's to put up with this problem.

I'm guessing it's a bad sector on the hard drive.
