playing my first dvd on my computer

Hello

I just installed my first dvd writer. I m trying to play a DVD on it and t does not play using real player.


do i need special dvd reading software. i checked out the contents and it has two folders an audio_ts and a video_ts. the video_ts has the following files

video_ts.bup, video_ts.ifo, video_ts.vob, vts_01_0.bup, vts_01_0.ifo &
vts_01_0.vob

i think it was the region settings playing up
