I have not heard much about PIA but was wondering if it is free permanently or just pay option?

It's $40 / year, or $7 / month. PIA doesn't have a free option.

what is a good paid one that you can use and then after few days u can cancel it and u can still use most options but not all? According to this site https://www.raymond....-accounts-list/ it is possible.

Look through the list on the link I provided and see if any of those match your requirements.

IMO, privacy > cost.
