Hello,
How can I pc Anywhere into a computer on a network. I set the router to allow the certain port #'s to go through, but how can it actually connect to the pc that i want.

Since linksys routers give the same IP address on every network? thanks for your time.

Hi Ajoyce,

If you wish to PCAnywho into your network, then you will need to do a couple of things,, this is version 10 and using RAS

set up a user account in RAS,, allow this person to have the required access via NTFS permissions and User Manager ,,,

then on the computer that is calling in ,, they dial an access number, enter the credentials that the DOMAIN requires and are validated to the network,,

now they have an IP from the SCOPE of the Network,, from the PC dialing in,, lauch the REMOTE ,, connect to the HOST machine as you have set out and VOILA !!

YOu have access,,

Now points to consider,, set a USERNAME and PASSWORD on the HOST machine,, improved security,,

Have the HOST run as a SERVICE,, this will have the PC ready for calls on boot,,

cheers
