Default Patch Extractions

I have a question with creating a copy of a game or any programs with the patch or updates added. I want to be able to say have an ISO file of a game extract the patch to it and create a new ISO with the patch included when I install the game. I did this with WinXP Pro included with the SP-1 and would like to know how to do this with other files. If anyone can direct me to a website that talks about this I would appreciate it.

Thank You

It depends on the software you're working with, but I'd be inclined to say that in most cases it's not possible (or certainly not easy). The technical name for this process is 'slipstreaming', so if you want to find instructions for a particular game/program, I'd suggest trying google/google groups.
