Password Protected Folders

Hi

Are there any software applications out there that would allow me to password protect a folder so that if anybody tried to access the folder they would have to enter a password first ?

I think this can be done using Winzip or Winrar. Only problem is it's compressed.

Depends on what yer talking about, iceware.

If yer talking about folders in the system, you can just use Windows to control the access of those folders, quite easily.

If yer talking about sending files to other people, you'll need a 3rd party app, like winzip or winrar.

i am using magic folders. u specify a password and accelerator keys during setup. u can only enter the program using this password and the keys. once in, select the folders u want to hide and POOF!!!
windows search will reveal nothing!!! this is commercial s/w

there is also another aklock or sth ike that. its free.
