Password Protect a Folder on a Server

if you go into safe mode as admin you won't have to disable file sharing. it automatically there when you right click and select properties

.... All I want to do is prompt users for a USERNAME/PASS upon entering my shared stuff... @ my school, we are running like Server 2000 or something and. Amongst different parts of our server they are password protected.. Like for instance If I wanted to get into the "StudentClass12" directory. I would double click the folder as I would see it under the server. It would now prompt me for logon, or like username pass to enter. How I do that?

Its ACL configuration...

Take the everyone group out and any other group except the Administrator group out. Then login to another machine with a "guest" account and try to access that folder....
