Question Partition Help

Hey guys, i have windows xp. Right now i have 2 partitions, a recovery and a standard NTFS data parittion. I want to format and delete my standard NTFS and create 2 partitions out of that and keep my recovery parition the same. Because i need to save all my music and pictures and stuff to my separate partition dedicated just to pictures and media, so if something happens on the OS files, i can just recover that part of my drive, and not loose my songs and stuff, SO, where do i start in formatting, and deleteing and repartitioning drives? Help would be GREATLY appreciated, thanks.
Oh you can IM me on DAWS202 on AIM also if its more convenient.
